(Sundiata Finance) — New set of millionaires has emerged in the live draws of the Fidelity Bank Plc ‘Get Alert in Millions’ promo to reward customers who operate savings account with the bank.
The promo which is the 6th in 9 years by Fidelity Bank, produced about seven millionaires with cash prizes ranging from N1 million to N3 million, while the Star Prize winner got N5 million.
Nnamdi Okonkwo, managing director/CEO, Fidelity Bank, said in his opening remarks that the promo is to improve financial inclusion in Nigeria, and in turn reward customers.
According to Okonkwo who was represented by Obaro Odeghe, Regional head Apapa Bank, “I am delighted to witness the close of the draws today, and can assure our customers to be on the watch for other promos from Fidelity Bank,” he said.
Also speaking, Jude Monye, regional bank head, Ikeja, in his remarks said the bank has achieved its set objective with the promo by increasing its savings portfolio base. “I can tell you that in terms of figure we have witness massive improvement in our savings drive.”
According to Monye, the bank made a promise to give cash rewards to 105 people before the end of the promo, which explains what the bank has done with the live draws. “When we say we are Fidelity Bank, we keep our word: everything we say, we stand by it,” he said. Speaking further on the draws, Monye opined, “Let me say that we are glad to conclude this phase of the draws. I believe we have been able to reach out to the unbanked and get them to embrace the savings culture,” he concludes.
However, the following customers won a cash prize of N1 million respectively. Deborah Adeniyi, a student from its Osogbo branch, Uchi Theresa Sewuese, IwoRoad branch, Idris Bala, from Muritala Mohammed road branch, and Mohammed Kabir Abubakar, Gowon road branch, Kaduna. Others are, Onyeaghana Eugenia Chiagozie, IkotEkene road branch, Aba, Uzochukwu Okoli, Federal Polytechnic, Nkede, Obi Onyebuchi Samuel, CBD branch, Abuja, and David Itodo of Lokoja branch.
Also, Ekene Nzurumike, Odun-ade branch, and Olowu Messiah Maduagwu, Rivers State University branch, a Pastor said “God is awesome, this is really a miracle,” when he was called by Monye during the live draws. Oni Joy Abumere and Oni Sunday, Yenegua branch won N2 million, Alex Malomo Shaibu, Trade-Fair branch won N3 million, while Lawal Abimbola Bakare, from its Alexandria road branch, Ikoyi won the star prize of N5 million. Nevertheless, about 14 customers won consolation prizes of Refrigerator and generating sets respectively.
